The Idea ...
...for this series of instruments was born of the wish for easily accessible instruments
which also fulfill highest requirements for quality, appeal to amateurs as well as professional musicians,
and be appropriate for group improvisation..
The optimal combination of sound characteristics, aesthetics, workmanship, functionality, and handling became the guiding principle of development.

The central consideration is that these instruments, in allowing for complete tuning and flexability,
be useful in sound spaces of different music cultures. For Sound-Plate instruments in particular, completely new paths were taken.
Compatibility with almost all other instruments is a welcome side-effect.
The conception and design of each model result from practical experience, teamwork, collaboration with music therapists, pedagogues,
musicians and dancers, and work with children, adolescents and the handicapped.
