Sound Blocks, each with four sound-plates tuned to a
tetrachord, can be played singly or combined. One Sound Block alone is
itself a tunable melody-percussion instrument. Two Sound Blocks
provide a diatonic scale with the range of an octave. The reversable
tuning capacity of the sound plates of +-100 Cent enables adjusting to
any scale.
onceived for use under hardest conditions, and based on their
technical design and material (beechwood), these instruments are
nearly indestructible. Thus thea are very appropriate instruments for
the use in the pre-school area, and can also serve as stools.
The Sound Blocks are rectangular, their sound-plates identical in
lenth. Thus they can be stacked up, so that the space required for
them is minimal.
